Technical Support to Proposal Development
Context
A defence client was preparing a competitive proposal to deliver an advanced training system for armoured vehicles, incorporating full‑immersion training simulators. Success depended not only on a strong technical solution, but on presenting a coherent, credible, and compliant engineering response within the bid.
AmfiskA Role
AmfiskA was embedded as part of the client’s bid team, providing systems engineering leadership to shape the technical solution, strengthen the proposal narrative, and develop the supporting engineering documentation required to win the contract.
What We Did
Worked closely with the client’s internal design engineers across the UK and international teams to interpret and assess the Statement of Requirements (SoR)
Decomposed customer requirements into system‑level requirements and architectural views
Facilitated engineering workshops to align stakeholders and develop an integrated technical response
Authored and reviewed key technical documents for inclusion in the tender response, including the System Design Document, Integrated Test & Evaluation Plan, and Compliance Matrix
Ensured consistency, traceability, and technical credibility across the full proposal submission
Outcome
The client submitted a strong, technically coherent proposal that clearly demonstrated compliance, credibility, and deliverability. The bid was successful, and the client is now delivering the training system to the military supported by a solid systems engineering foundation established during the proposal phase.
